Shelly's Vacation at the Iberostar Rose Hall Resort in Montego Bay, Jamaica. July 15-22, 2007

Dear Travelers,
My husband and I could not have asked for a better vacation.

When we arrived at the airport in Jamaica, we were greeted by our Funjet Representative. He looked at our itinerary and told us to follow him, then he escorted us to our PRIVATE TRANSFER. We were so surprised!
 
It took about 20 minutes to get to our hotel. When we arrived we were greeted with a cool and refreshing drink ( I believe it was "rum punch"), and immediately taken to the check-in counter. 
 
The front desk staff were extremely friendly. She told us it was our lucky day, because they had a room all ready for us (10:30 am). Standard check-in is at 3 pm.  That's when I noticed the entire lobby was air conditioned (that is very rare in the Caribbean). Right away if felt like my vacation had officially started.
 
When we finished checking in we were told we could make reservations at any one of the three evening restaurants (Cajun, Japanese, or Steak House). You are allowed to make 3 reservations for a 7 night stay, and 1 reservation for 3 or 4 night stay. It wasn't a big deal, because they have a buffet for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner, then it opens for snacks from 11 pm-7 am. Plus, they have room service from 11 am-11 pm everyday.

Our dining experiences were GREAT! The Japanese was my favorite (that was the first time I ever had Sushi). The buffet for Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner was very delicious, there was a lot to choose from and they always had something different everyday.
 
The staff was excellent, if there is something you wanted they did everything they could to accommodate you. I really have to give them a lot of credit for making our experience so wonderful.
 
We didn't do much the rest of the week, but lay by the pool and in the ocean. There was one day we did go kayaking. That was an adventure!  The resort also had scuba diving, parasailing (fee), banana boat rides(fee), and wind surfing.
 
I did get a chance to visit 4 other Resorts in the area. I have pictures with descriptions at my office. If you get the chance, I would love for you to stop by and look at them.
 
I would definitely encourage anyone to visit this extraordinary resort.
